Everywhere you go you see a sea of misfits. Suspects, prospects and potential clients and referrals. Dressing and presenting yourself well is being familiar. This is key to doing business without an overhead. What you offer is not just what you wear but how you are perceived. such as strong, confident, cool clever congenial entertaining, friendship. You are rare and rare is rich. How many people meet a well-dressed (bespoke level) tailoringdesigner? You may appear like a salesman or better. Your confident compliment, clever curiosity and good questions are the difference. Most made to measure order-takers do not have proper training nor platforms such as you will have. Most companies do not have the depth of a TailoringDesigner. Most factories I have used are sadly just factories for product and service, not for design. It’s no wonder I see Pete Hegseth today in a poor fitting suit. Men give up. Men trust, women don’t know unless it is and the cloth looks expensive. (or shiny) Consumers trust brands and store names. Americans may be physically fit but don’t generally understand the difference between a wrinkle from poor fit and a rumple from casual tired cloth. You can offer, your suspect (unbelievably) the world’s best suit! This is qualified with. “If a suit cloth is one’s perfect affordable choice and style, and it fits so well, that by definition it is the world’s best suit as it need not be any better. Your suspect needs to know his confidence of being the best fitting suit in any room is simply being with you 5 minutes so he sees fit and wrinkles. Also his confidence will increase because you help him separate the world into two perceptions, his area of influence and his area of non-influence. His appearance will do this. This reveal is often enough for men to invest in their body and good taste /diet. Europeans have a history of bespoke fit. It’s time to rebuild this craft into a new manufacturing industry with new and prompt service expertise that trumps retail.
TD is relevant as you’ll be competitive with US suit inventory of $63 Billion in 2025. Simply by your well-reputation, a well-dressed image and attitude. As a Samson Wardrobes agent, you will be carrying some fabulous cloth books and your own laptop to show the lines, and eventually with fashion shows videos. This will make you a competitor to other tailoring order takers, local stores and online brands. After graduation or earlier you can order a new suit to jumpstart your career! Knowing you’re a real threat to brands as a tailoring designer, you can be empowered to attack the false idols of brand idolatry with a hands-on message of your contacts self-discovery. Every morning, I take a cold shower to clear my head and see what my new tasks are. My city is a unique opportunity to be an ally for men’s self-realization of finer details of fit and saving a ton of cash. I stand tall after a cold shower shave and suit to head to my coffice and read the news, call some clients and show some cloths. Samson Wardrobes will send your business cards with QR videos that you can pass out in your weekly regime, be it at your coffice, regular and special events. This rich digital card will likely open the eyes of most men as they recall the tens of thousands they have spent without knowing the x factor. The millions of dollars you compete with at a low overhead trumps an era of customer compromises in fit after only a month. Men literally get taken to the cleaners, costing more and more. When my TD have 100 the assets of their clients can dress better than their clients, we have a new career in the offing.

Ryans waist wrinkles
This is due to the waist button not being near the waist. It is at the rib cage. due to his height. He is bowing to and trusting brands and retailors who do not, and in this case cannot change the button height or re-tailor the jacket It’s too tight creating wrinkles and shows white shirt at belly, a weak distraction from where a suit should create focus, on his face. He is a little taller needs a tailoringdesigner.
After you are successful through good measurements of your first 10 garments, you are eligible for being promoted using our sites.
Through having a suit via Zoom, made you will get the basics of measuring, the details on different body types and tips will be available on webinars.
How to develop your income yearly;

The more cards getting handed out by graduates, the more traffic on the site and the more Google SEO will direct traffic to anyone in your city to the site with your name on it.
TD’S are unlike Hong Kongs Traveling Tailors. TD get to know their customers better. TD compete with a totally better business model of reflection and improvement. HK tailors are the lowest common denominator that is price with minimal service. Their measuring skills are second rate old school as each visit they are rushed for the “cow call” to the next in line. It’s no wonder men give up their quest for the perfect suit. I have never seen an HK suit to look like an Italian or British one. Its evident that their new generation has lost the passion for it. TDs are the antidote to the HK suit that have for decades dwindled men’s pride into a consumer product. The total lack of philosophy that sold fit over the value of professional finish and coordination or service. The irony is men around the world are used to mediocracy. After all its just a suit!
First Year– 2 smaller events per week such as Meetup.com or other local business groups. Work your way up to afford the time and money with BNI. (Business Networking International) Try to meet as many suspects as possible that you can ( without looking too hungry, show more interest in them and their values so you can find their clothing health, self esteem or social values). Be sincere in your interests to find out what makes them tick and their journey and issues overcome. Share values with the idea of creating rapport and finding out their complaints in general as if you are experienced with others who turned to the mirror to find answers. Then you can keep in touch discreetly. Keep them in mind to support them for referrals with others you meet. If you gather 10 cards per event you will create a monthly average of 4 suit sales and 8 alterations. This is your first year in training which is rare to get paid. Your first few years charges could have lower mark up to make new clients. You are free to minimize alterations and charge more if you follow the course well. Its important to create confidence but as well check your measurements. This is why many suits don’t cut it. TD is a creative process also for the client.
Second Year – Additional 12 executive events per year, an executive events or conventions is where you meet higher income prospects, and the attendance can be huge. (try to have an interest or study their industry, perhaps as a type of investment) Many prospects are invested in their own tailoring sources. If you ask some questions from this course, you can later on contact pique their interest in many ways. Competition, rapport and service counts. When you land a few happy clients, you can rely on their referrals sometimes with your generosity of sorts in return for their business. This should lead to 6 suits monthly higher end suits.
Third Year – Keep sincere contact (keep cell phone notes on their comments) with old clients while adding new high-end ones. Add repeat business of 2 per week and 2 new clients per week, alterations or MTM. Now your reputation for alteration service continues, to add higher margins on alterations and suits. As well an increase in return orders for wardrobe packages offered on Samsonswardrobes.com In your third year you’ll be enjoying developing a relationship with the bank perhaps for a mortgage to encourage easier money via investments like a downtown office or live work studio. All the while more confident as you dress for success and can meet men even off the street with style. With luck and rapport from a compliment you take them for coffee or even at your “Coffice” ( coffee shop corner)
Fourth Year– With your confidence now or earlier, offering a wardrobe package is huge. Returning at the right time, with a deal they can’t refuse takes a little technique. It’s not unreasonable for you to have sold a $4000, 9 outfit wardrobe each month to an old client. $100,000 in the 3rd to 5th year is a modest income and achievable. If you believe it’s a lot, it’s because you are not of this world. But dressing better than most men on the street will take time but put you in that rich world. As you see fit better and are charming, they will remember you. You will be able to support those with poor fit who have paid more and perhaps are frustrated, they often disguise their frustrations by paying more and dropping brand names. Knowing this and offering details of fit and perhaps trust, is a step up for them. Never insult them, but you could ask where they got it and suggest, they are hit and miss in your experience. Just complement them on what you like about the garment, the cloth the fit at some area etc. When they see your fit and trust you, you can then have them remember you when you call. You can then ask when they may be in the market. Be around men who talk boldly about their companies. Your job is to let them know you like their style and cloth choice but if you notice something that can be fixed offer a little alteration. Your confidence will come from seeing fit issues, making a note and upgrading them. Often the prospect will say it’s a weight change, but actually many issues are because the garment was too tight there to begin with. Often true with the chest and tight shoulders. This will make you most unique, unlike so many order takers that call themselves tailors. Even bespoke tailors make mistakes or cannot compete with $20 m factories.
Your Success is Attained by Building Rapport
and maintaining your support with constant prospect contact. Good prospects need to be confirmed of your goodwill and even generosity. You should be busy outsmarting a prospects tailor. Complement prospects and introduce yourself with your card, then talk about current local news or issues. If it comes back to your service or appearance, then there you can contact them in future and point out a specific garment issue of fit. Suit fit is nobody’s business but yours and your prospects. With little overhead in the new lack of retail world, you will be able to dress well and show your attention to form in the serious and overlooked craft in a world of convenience and distraction. Your bravado first your skills slowly upgraded in your humble and persistent approach to service.
Your event attendance and entertaining of prospects is part of this give and take lifestyle. Make efforts in the beginning, because in the long term your integrity is remembered. You can look forward to people calling your cell to meet you rather than a salesman or casual alterationist. With a clientele you will be able to ease your travel efforts and invest in a shared space or your own small studio, hopefully work- live.

In 2026 AI and humanoids and cheap oil, will make even more billionaires. This translates to the wealth in your higher end event attendance. I enjoy going to a coffice or my coffee shop office with my laptop. I meet clients, their friends and random suspects that I occasionally get a card after I prouldy give my card. In two calls answer they become prospects. If they ask what your price is, remember to always state the starting retail value, for a similar Italian quality brand name. Then offer your price, and a special incentive like a shirt an alteration or a vest. Mention that they will be buying direct that improves value and quality and service. Then you can send links to them of videos, websites, look-books and promos.
Service For Success,
Men are either successful, in the process or not. Its a matter of defining success often with a philosophy. If you can communicate success simply in a suit fit, you can convey value to successful men. Simply after creating rapport and their respect for your high-end contacts, you can support their success by encouraging the qualities you see in them. Particularly with younger men who are in flux. This is your longer-term income assurance as they have an old friend in the business.
YOUR TAILORED MISSION IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT,
Is to be a role model of success with your simple story. Not a quantitative statement of your worth in dollars. Your mission is to be good, feel good and look like a million and achieve your daily tasks in order to enjoy modest if not internal celebration, each evening or weekend or month. You can support their successful image with one suit that makes him get noticed, even wearing his other suits. Your job is to show pride in your own skin and suit regardless of your income or lifestyle differences. To show your pride, you need to be in practice of better habits. Be proactive after any failures and follow up with contacts. Your monthly or weekly emails, text or calls, prompt your visual image and Samson wardrobe email videos and promotion prompt their image of your excellence.
Many men want tailored but have no idea what real tailored or bespoke fit is. They assume it’s too expensive and simply “get by” and then “hastily buy”. Their idea of “tailored” is often too tight, rather than tailored trim. This means stressful wrinkles that wear out prematurely. They never understand the ” hand of the cloth” or its gimp” the cloth density for staying power. Men look at the cost buy never amortize the value over the length of the garment. This is failure and the trait of poor investors. They assume they can’t afford it but never consider all the middle men they are supporting when they buy off the rack. Often who cut corners to compete with the large retail market. They buy off the rack a commercial cloth that stretches or sells faster, is actually too tight and gets thinner, weaker and wears out prematurely. In fact stretch materials also bag early and looks poor. What is the cost of sabotaging ones image. Tell them with a smile, “Tight is not tailored.” Say you represent Samsons wardrobes where they can’t afford to buy off the rack. Ask them if they have heard or seen bespoke fit? Tell them you like comfortable, wrinkle free yet trim. As them if they know the “x” factor in fit? Then give them a card with your company video QR on the back. ( we will send to you with your new suit) When you meet you can ask, “What has been your purchasing first criteria, brand, price, product or service?” Sometimes new people are not straight and say the opposite, embarrassed as they are not confident. Without bespoke experience, or referral one has no benchmark. If they mention a cost that is below your charge, its mostly because they like quantity or variety. Your reply is, what is your best suit and its cost? How long have you had it? Is it holding up as new? Spending less often means they have got poor value from their last suit. The irony is they often end up spending more per wear with a cheap suit they dispose of as the pants wore out. Men need to know a good classic suit from decent cloth can last an average of 8-10 years. Heartier cloth in the old days, would last much better and with 2 pair of slacks even farther. This is why getting to know their fitting problems and desires will break the ice so you can let them know, about Samsonwardrobes and image credibility. When they show a little interest, give them a strong shake and ask if you can meet for coffee next week. This way you can create rapport by sending relevant links. There you can find out their personal and business habits and power needs. This will add to your prospects likelihood of trust as you note their values on your mobile.
How to impress a high income client
Offer to make an outfit or suit at no charge. Yes, this is a very old technique used by excellent and confident tailors, (read underneath) and now TD! Getting to know them helps when they know you can offer this. They may not bite immediately, but they will be impressed for future consideration. Based on a wardrobe package, the initial deposit gets forwarded to that package. So, the client may start with a two-suit package of $1800. Each suit is worth $1800 but the first one is a sample. Meaning if he is not happy you might make another. The $900 deposit goes towards the last suit. If you are sure a new prospect has disposable income and likes to dress, you can offer them this unprecedented deal to get all their business. They can even extend the size of the wardrobe that will increase their discount. You can offer them their choice from our line. This way your sample becomes your inventory of try-ons. As well prospects can see these cloths on the web, see in person, and or try on with you. With this technique, you can learn your skills, create goodwill and perhaps he will come back for another cloth so you can perfect the measurements. (as you have already had a fitting with that sample). With this act you have built more than rapport but trust. He also knows your motivated and capable, let alone creative and rare, unlike most salesmen. Choose a suspect whose fit off the rack or mtm is not too extreme. Nor his personality, so you can assure an improvement. If it fails, you can have a full array of sizes that you can use are a fitting for a new client. Selling a package is best after making one good suit. By perfecting the measurements after the first suit you will reduce repeated mistakes. If you fail your client fit, your intention to make another creates goodwill. Often they go home and realize their other suits are worse. Offer to take them and a friend out to their favorite venue or coffee shop. This is special and eventful aspect of the service. “Lunch with my Suitmaker! Always have an extra cloth book on hand and zero pressure in mind. This new contact you can keep in touch through Suitstyler marketing program and hopefully get response on promotions.
In Canada the founder of TIp Top Tailors made his start in 1909 by offering a free hand made suit only to hi end clients. This was a hand shake offer on their satisfaction for all their future suit orders. This was confidence and trust on an old fashioned grounds, something needed today. Even if there was no order, he would get consideration from his prospects and often referrals. From this “planting of a seed” in a company, you can get an order that will often have more trust involved as it was heard through the grapevine and considered to be “insider value”. His business would later have over 100 retail stores and later turned into a formidable post war company called Dylex Corporation. This acronym came from the term “ Dam Your Lousy Excuses.” A successful tailoring designer should also try to answer his own questions and excuses. This is all part of being your own boss.
Network to find regular sizes clients
If you pick an easy fit body, you can get more referral business and friends. You just might have to offer a friendlier price and a unique alternative. This works well when you have a sample and they like your own suit. This is a new discreet in-roads to a new crowd. (You can always charge more for a friend that may need an extra fitting. Ask for their online endorsements on their favorite platform then send to us for our website. Your new clients rapport with friends will work for you in the background.
Your style of visual and audible communication brands you.
This is something that you can build. Personally, I would start old school conservative style suit and slowly build people skills, to work hard for the client satisfaction and endorsements. While you are learning you could try casual dressy, that is dressing up cotton pants with wool jackets, vests, dress shirts and tailored coats. This shows a talent and a panache rather than the cashe of a suit. Work towards style and quality in your wardrobe, that are a reflection of your bread and butter income or market niche. You are dressing or addressing up the streets one step at a time. This graduate’s skills growth leads to more referrals. Growing performance to match your optimism leading to business and your confidence. These referrals are far more valuable in more than one way. When calling and thanking clients after an order and after delivery, express your loyalty and your recent successes.
Work to Establish your expertise and career confidence to eventually command $2000 – $5,000 a suit.
TD spend time in retail stores looking at brands price tags. One client came from another tailor who charged him $6000 for a jacket he couldn’t wear! He was happy with my jacket for less. When quoting high end prospects, it’s best to separate labor and cloth. Many men or wives will think its because you actually make it! This will allow you to upsell the cloth when you visit. Letting the client feel and choose the cloth will tell you much about them and their creative capabilities. Be prepared to offer something extra to show your success, fairness or gratitude through your generosity. Others really don’t care about the price and just want you to listen for their needs.
Careful with comments to reflect positively. As your skill setting may be frustrating if your not the careful back checking type. Some clients take critiques personally. You can assure them with your generous personal and creative offer. You must be careful to compliment the cloth and style first. Then mention their tailor’s oversight, We will cover this with webinars helping you find clients’ needs. Sometimes clients just want better service and trust. They often have pretenses and beliefs about dressing. Over time they will remember you when they see someone well dressed and well priced. Success is everymans business as sure as they eventually recognize their nipples are a signature to provide. Assure their satisfaction and your hope they can make a referral to a friend that has paid more and done worse.
Talented customers have 3 “C”s
Men like to compete and find friends by talking sports. Also keep in touch with community issues to orient and serve what’s going on. Smart contacts have their own blend of competitive, collaborative and communicative skills. It’s a skill to be able to recognize, mirror or admire those qualities. Your ability to inquire about their development of taste and their appreciation of success and dressing is key. Any other avenues of your respect is a benefit. You only need to be competitive with their tailor, and as a rule, never a suspect or prospect. When you both agree on something about the suit or service, this will create rapport. Then it’s time for you to offer your SamsonWardrobes card. This will earn their attention and if you seemed credible, when you ask, you’ll get their card. When you call, you are showing a service. Good TD are patient and enjoy their clients. Once you actually produce a good service and product, you will have a reputation as a unique change from a retail store and salesmen. In the 21st C self-determination will dominate the convenience of local retailors and sales for TD that offer the world’s best fit and personalized rather than what you see is what you get, the leftovers on sale. You With your class, character, talent and humor, you can’t expect sincere instant rapport, but you will get raised eyebrows when you hand out your card when they notice you and a clever comment.
When at an event, start with individuals that are sitting or standing alone. If they are on cell, do the same but notice if their body language changes. If you move and they follow this will tell you, they are aware of you. Start with a compliment on something about perhaps a compliment on clothing or about a recent news or similar event. You can ask them about their company, and how’s business? This could lead to response and rapport. To support your interests, you might ask about other events they have taken in. Remember your success depends on your understanding that their listening is often just manners. Don’t outstay your welcome. You might run into them later. Keeping you contact brief and sweet so the time may come to offer respectfully your card. If not done with style it will be in vain and you certainly won’t get their card.
When standing at an event, start with a compliment and a confident eye contact and a firm handshake prepped by a question on the event. Perhaps after introducing yourself, you can start with “asking what field of work they are in and what do you like best about it? If they ask you, then they are opening up. Always compliment on some aspect of their clothing, “note to yourself” what they may be missing specifically in tailored fit. If it’s a good fit, you can say that what you like to do is produce bespoke fit. “It’s the world’s best can’t be improved “
Fit-wise you can ask if he’s heard of Samson ” x factor for bespoke fit”. As well the site 12 mistakes most tailors make. Perhaps he has a friend who could do better. If his garment is not perfect, this is especially helpful for them to consider you when they are in the market. Always begin and end in a compliment on their dressing. In this way they will surely remember you. You can also support them on the upgrade or alterations in a later call.
Your character and class will be defined by your sincere interest in their success and how they achieved it or are achieving it. Great networkers always start with an impromptu complement. It’s good to note how old their suit is and its cost. You could be doing their whole company a unigue service sometime in the future when your success rating is high and alterations are minimal. One icebreaker is |” Hi, I like your suit, but I am afraid “your tailor doesn’t know you well”. Good contacts will be curious about your comfort in your skin. If interested they will be comfortable asking for your card and approve of giving you their card.
Creative dynamic men see a wardrobe as a vehicle for personal investment. Most men miss a grandfatherly or fathers introduction to an authentic suit experience. This men’s rite of passage of seeing fit and bodily care is counter to the fashion and feminine mentality that mothers have left on dressing their boys, rather and not having a father to take over when the time is right. Often my clients bring in their fathers to impress this formality of reaching the top of the wardrobe and its importance of recognition within a community. Casual dressing without an agenda is the definition of casualty of values. This experience is only found at respectable expensive shirtmakers in large cities. With talented tailoring designers this sea change can occur.
The advent of a wardrobe foundation, using stronger cloths is better staying power. This is not the same as a fine soft and usually expensive fabrics. Good men’s cloth has body and tactile strength which means it holds shape far better. We know that when a garment fits, it lasts longer and strong cloths by nature need good tailoring. We know that classic wardrobe foundations of 2 or 3 suits with extra slacks are ideal for such a foundation. A balanced tailored wardrobe is an asset that save sabotage by fashions’ often foolish frivolousness. Reducing replacement and augmenting coordination with alternative slacks.
The classic bespoke suit is an equalizer between men’s essential values, health and credibility. This is why enduring quality and a compliment on an old garment is far richer than on an obvious new one. As well if they enjoy life, most men will stay in shape. Here lies an opportunity for your body shape to attract similar body shapes. “Like attracts like” for your first niche market. In my many years I can attest to groups of men and am amazed how similar shapes play a role in affinity and friendships.
One course of action is asking new prospects, after complimenting them, “What is the best fitting suit they have ever had and how long it lasted?” It’s your job to find out what their values are and increase that value higher than the cost. You could also ask, if they have ever had a suit made they were happy with. What problems they may have had. This is important to clear the air of pretense.
The Value of Conventions & Boardrooms.
Be “the best suit fit in the room” and your clients will follow. After about 6 to 12 months, you should be having happy clients with only minor alterations or service slip ups. Now you can work your way up to more expensive events. Here there are high end clients who can consider whole wardrobe packages. After your first suit (and sometimes before) you need to suggest that they bring into their office a suit that they might consider tossing. You will then have an idea of their fitting needs. You could also help them by taking it off their hands. Often, it’s the pants that have worn out. If it’s check suit jacket or texture, you could use your plain cloth book to sell a slack to coordinate. Plant this idea and check in later. Often men are creatures of habit and will wear a battered suit till someone says something. It’s unaware self-sabotage of their lifestyle image. This is why you need not be in a rush, but to listen, enjoy your role and learn while you earn your skills. Rooms of successful men can be worth easily $20,000 in referrals. You should consider as a goal to set aside $2000 for your first year for a booth at a convention. Ask your prospects and clients what conventions they go to and note them for research. Careful to be cool and likeable.
Your perfect, complaint free product and service will be your lifestyle assurance. Your ideal strategy is to be friendly and after to be reflective and take notes each time you make contact. Start off with a variety of medium to low priced suit “generous offers to match their last brand purchase.
1) You have good rapport and consistency of communication and follow through contact service
2) If they don’t answer your emails. Persist, if you know you can help them do better next time. Make an appointment to briefly visit them to offer any alteration service to get to know them and their bodily uniqueness .
Wedding Industry
This classic style industry is about low overhead, satisfaction, rapport and good referrals. Some may have average experience with suits off the rack but often get curious with something new or bored with lack of inspiring service or value. The groom will take more interest in the ritual of having the best for his confidence and entitlement in this ritual. If you want to succeed, you must be skilled at checking measurements. with samples or measuring twice to make yourself right. This focus takes patience with wedding parties. Once the groom has found the cloth and style and has rapport with you, working with and knowing the groomsmen’s single style is easier by just measures. Being careful minimizes alterations and prevents a wedding disaster at the last minute. So let it keep you up at night for the first 4 parties. The money is good. But this is certainly a bread and butter market that is part of your suits per month total. Do focus on measures and just being the tailor, rather than the designer. It’s smart to make appointments and ask them if they have a suit and to bring in. This way you know their comfort zone and level of fit to copy from their jacket or slacks. Your questions on their history with suits help to make sure their expectations are met as they have a history that’s hidden. Their old suit will reveal any issues, the client will be impressed. Many groomsmen may be on a budget, although sometimes the groom will pitch in some money or all. With a range of sample try ons this will help a lot to nail the shoulder and sleeve length. Also with a standard sample cut try ons, you can see the jacket and pant balance needs.
Until you have nailed 5 suits in a row, I would not go into wedding parties or high-end suit sales. You could offer the groom suit first as many order far ahead of time. Your reputation is valuable for wedding party confidence. and referrals. As ones world starts to respect classic values of being feeling then looking ones best, we mark time and make great memories.

Your business cards are like $ash
As a graduate you will receive business cards that are an excellent icebreaker for lack of soft skills. This is your chance to turn a suspect into a prospect, to be generous with alteration charges. With a good prospect I offered a free suit and he ended up paying me and giving me an endorsement. Start with offering a free alteration if they can join you for a coffee. They then are obliged to give you, their card. If you can create some rapport and remember the conversation. Begin your suspect contact with the end in mind, as suspects can turn into prospects and sales. Be sure to database their card or name and business to your daily APP goals. I like to send video links that are relevant to our brand and their tailored concerns. I recommend once a month for the first few months with a call or two. After your first sale I would follow up contact to make sure they are satisfied and wearing it. Withing two weeks, a good client should remember any compliments he had to offer you a contact.
Suspects love Brands and Worship them

If they like brands, they may like the idea of validation or assumed (mass produced) quality. This is as old as Abraham in early Iraq, who as an outlier, spent 10,000 hours in his father’s idol shop. Here he realized that some people can’t ask good questions or critique. They don’t believe in themselves essentially idol worshippers. Today I call them worshoppers. Here the term idolatry started. Today brands and designers who have rarely tailored have become the new idols.
As a designer you can offer better authenticity in fit and experience. Often people are just too lazy to research before they shop, hence your meeting people ahead of their buying agenda, to give them value of how long your suits last and why. Basically the x factor for fit for looks and no wrinkles for staying power. But still trim. The average man in view of tailoring is simple, seek validation and pays the price Most understanding of personal service is from the 20th C. Very few tailoring stories yet in our culture.
With self respect and thinking comes authenticity and in terms of a suit this means personalization through the crafting of shape. Many people have not known a real tailor, simply a retailor who often does not retailor, To different degrees, a suit will be altered, but what is lost is being able to relate to the end result that is counterintuitive to most products accept wine. The older it gets the more charm and shape it has, if its bespoke fit.
As a tailoringdesigner, you can easily support your client’s self-respect. Done through complimenting their integrity and segueing it with your respect for tailored shape and staying power. There are two types of integration of the suit
1) Silhouette ; integrating the suit with the body’s height
2) Integration of the cut (bespoke) with the body shape to utilize the body for maintain suit form.
In a minute your presence , visually and audibly at the right moment in a Samson bespoke fit will impress beyond brand names, unnecessary shopping and alterations. Retail window dressing and style changes have stores competing against each other for fashion, but not truth in bespoke fit. Tailoringdesigners discreetly personalizing each client for their authenticity and pride to stay fit. If one does not pay enough he may be sabotaging himself or not confident and positive about his spirit and health. Many men are stuck in obligation and stress.
The superiority of Tailoringdesign’s zero overhead and a TD who knows his cloth and clientele, is far better for selection than retails, limited sizes and styles. With MTM you can almost compete with delivery in 2 weeks. Ask any retailor who does not know you’re in the business. what is ” a jackets x factor for fit? Let me know if you find one. This is why high-end prices suggest recutting of garments to please a high-end customer. In lesser men’s stores, they don’t know what they don’t know. Management likes it this way. I have noticed many managers and owners in terrible fit. Why because if clients what it that way, it’s far too many alterations, if doable.
Men want to Know; To see fit
Your job is to make sure that clients are willing to make the value higher than the cost. Starting with the difference between a wrinkle from poor fit and casual construction to rumples that can be pressed out. Rumples are ok in casual and cool garments but a bad idea for a serious suit. Far from personalized. As a gentleman you express this at the right time with patience and a smile. Although some men are aggressive, your assertiveness will make them smile and interested in who you are.
Caveat Emptor, (buyer beware); Stores rarely offer proper fitting, It satisfies the immediate urgency and lowest common denominator for mens convenience. As well when clients leave and wear the suit for a day, wrinkles appear deeper. As a garment ages this seems acceptable and normal but actually this is mediocre. So men get taken to the cleaners for pressing. Pressing is a band-aid to temporarily give a garment its own body. While with proper fit the customers’ body, acts like a form to shape the garment. Ultimately your image as a designer of bespoke fit wardrobes, delivered without need for any fitting as planned seasonally or yearly, is a paradigm shift on convenience.
Retail industry is based on limited service and high turnover. They are just selling haste and convenience, an easy sale or low hanging fruit. They are not real tailors and don’t always properly retailor, because the modern world has not expressed the value of the Absolute suit for men that absolutely respect healthy taste and exersize. Self-investment via self-esteem and bespoke fit. This will you to participate in getting in shape. This is one way way, when you are becoming expert at shaping a garment through design, to interface with men in the gym or outside. Keep in mind when you educate your clients you will have loyalty. It’s your opportunity to your turn a clients past mediocre suit experiences into a review of values and an image asset.

It’s your job to reflect whatever qualities you see, and listen smartly to those who are lacking attraction and qualities. The better your skills the more you can reduce your market from suspects to prospects to contacts to regular customer calls. As in the beginning your will get 20% of your income from 80% of your clients. With time your will get 80% of your income from 20% of your clients. Essentially to qualify it helps to dress well, be congenial and good natured as well as like people. With any rapport from being a tailor or tailoringdesigner you will have a referral sometime down the line. This is something you can grow to enjoy, unlike fishing for sales, but to simply enjoy people and winning rapport. To do that one must give honest, spontaneous compliments. One can make a simple statement of admiration for another’s presence, be it action, attention, their dressing generally or by details. Just curious, who is your tailor? Then offer your card. Then ask, “May I get your card”?
It’s a numbers game, not everyone will have a card. Your card will have Samsonwardrobes video on it offerng seasonal lines. Till you get a reputation and some networks you will have to work like this. Some suspects shy or busy, some can be snobs or competitive. Either way there are ways to find out where their values lay and whether support has been from. Being smart means they are curious about you. Your confidence and demeanor that will prompt this. Every morning send our emails template the day after, to those who have given you their card and web links. Keep in touch as you see fit, to find when they be in the market so you can compete for their business, to get response and perhaps coffee. We will have videos you can send to grow their interest and show your motivation. Use your notes to give your confidence and impress them. Offer to do alterations or offer a new shirt or slack to support their business conviction via their creative and dynamic image. Offer to alter any suits jackets or slacks they are not wearing. In your own way, persistence pays, this is survival of the fittest. Tell prospects “Correct suit fit is your business and mine“. But make sure you create some rapport and a balanced conversation before you leave them your card. If you get some interest, you’ll have a talking point.
When you walk tall and smile, opportunities arise. Jordan Peterson explains how this is in our DNA. He’s a well known brilliant Canadian psychologist who got a psychology degree and compassion for the man on the street! You can use cafes as your office, or bars and restaurants, till you are ready for an office downtown. I meet and entertain all sorts of individuals that are responsive, when I mirror their mood. I keep in touch digitally or by cell to compliment them on what they are wearing and try to create some magic in their day. When people meet you and even better have heard of you, you bring luck to their daily trials, because you know their meeting you was unique and you might be an asset in their lives. Just make sure they can afford you or you cant afford not to learn to fit them. It can be exciting for some who have paid much more and waited too long. All you have to do is show you are motivated, offer assurances and sincerity about your ability to at least make an improvement from their last tailor, without looking too hungry. They want you when you show pride, motivation and passion in the work. They’ll ignore you, if you don’t. Your suit should be speaking for you.
We are looking for Poster People for the Evolution of self employment
We are searching for talent, persistence with some intelligence. A lot of Intelligence today is useless without activity. Success through talent and persistence, is the outcome of having a good purpose. Not just about abundance of stuff, but the classic minimalism. Ironically to minimalize wrinkles and time your past client spent shopping, getting alterations, going to the cleaners unnecessary due to poor fit. Pick your prospects as you believe they are leaders in their critical thinking and the spearhead to this revolution of a “personal evolution.” Faith Popcorn and John Nesbitt, in Future Shock and megatrends in the 1980 speculated that “customization” would be the future. Faith Popcorn said to Kodak that computer phones would replace printing pictures. They didn’t listen to her! Talent is something that big money is often deaf to as they are getting fat and don’t want to rock the boat. This is where TD can rock your bank account with big clients who have heard about you.
Samson TailoringDesign is here to minimize pain, time and costs that will be made if you were to do it all on your own. I have made many mistakes over the years and my current success without this course prompts my opportunity to pay back. It’s a shame that men fail to check the mirror. Men in the mirror are rarely inspired to utilize testosterone when they notice their nipples. Our brains evolved over millenia through seeing our reflection in still waters, to be conscious, to appreciate time and excellence is of the essence. Humans are a visual species but often fall out of balance with purpose persistence and talent for communication.
This is where your passion to have a great day is all about. Being a leader and going past competition into collaboration is the good life. It’s all good and a balancing act of tasks and joys. My successful clients use clothing like a vehicle as a perquisites goals and pleasure. Women relate to this in a man. Your best investment is in yourself, your image, your attitude, your habits and your emotional attachment to daily goals. We are here in the webinars to see that you don’t have any illusions that prevent you from achieving. Graduateion will come before you know it and your career cash won’t care because you are enjoying the straight and narrow, the process, the recipe, one day at a time. Japanese “Kaizen” means success through tiny process and Small Victories, this is how they recovered from WW2, by jumpstarting transit through motors for bicycles. You can do this too, start with many small victories departing from your typical day. This can be easy or hard as many of us have bad habits doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.
